Beyond Furniture discovered Dorsal on one of their European buying trips, and immediately wanted to make this new, innovative bed technology available for the Australian market. Established in 1932, renowned for their quality and craftsmanship in Europe, Dorsal remains a family run business, with the following three key philosophies upon which they have built their product range:

‘Made by Us’ – Family owned, 100% made in Italy: The Moretti family established Dorsal in 1932, and it is now run by 3rd generation family members whom are still equally passionate about studying the human body in order to produce anatomical, hygienic & comfortable sleep systems as their grandparents were. They were the first in Italy to produce a wooden slat system, contributing to a new concept of sleep, years later Dorsal were the first in Italy to produce a mattress made from renewable raw materials, the Grand Soleil range of natural mattresses. Dorsal manufacture their entire range in Italy, they have 3 factories in the northern Italy region, under the strict control of qualified experts. Their innovations in sleep products make Dorsal one of the most significant companies in its field, with their Grand Soleil range being sold exclusively through Beyond Furniture in Australia.
